Hayashi Reiki Kenkyû Kai

(Japanese) Hayashi Spiritual Energy Research Society. Hayashi Chûjirô started this society in 1931 according to Doi Hiroshi. After his death his wife, Hayashi Chie, became known as the second president. The name of his society indicates that he had adapted Usui Mikao’s teachings. In Japan, it is customary to keep the teaching’s name intact. The name would only be changed if the teachings were similarly altered. So it is possible to see that Hayashi Chûjirô had changed the system which Usui Mikao taught. Respect, however, was definitely displayed by Hayashi Chûjirô to Usui Mikao as he always taught in front of the calligraphic scroll of Usui Mikao’s precepts called the gokai no sho. Hayashi Chûjirô continued to use the same three level system as the Usui Reiki Ryôhô Gakkai which incldued Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden.

Dogen

" In the depths of stillness, all words melt away--
clouds disperse and it vividly appears before you.
When seen, it is filled with wonder--
vast and without edges, nothing concealed."
